Mortorcycle Touring (Via Thaton)

By motorbike, you can go from Mawlamyine to Thaon, Hpa-an. This route is detour, but this road is wide and surface condition of the road is good. It is easy to drive. Also, the directions are also very simple, so it is almost impossible to lost the way.
The shortest distance road is not easy to get to the main road from Mawlamyine city. Almost foreigners lost the way, so it will waste the time. The shortest route from Hpa-an to Mawlamyine which is commonly used by Myanmar people, because they used to drive and they already know the route. And there is a problem on the shortest route, because this route is dangerous places which there are 2 iron bridges. The surface of iron bridge is made by iron. It is not asphalt, so this surface is so slippy and unstable.
The North Route is arrived East Hpa-an. This area has Bayin Nyi Cave, Kaw Gon Cave and Yathae Pyan Cave. These Pagodas, Caves are famous and sightseeing spots in Hpa-an.

This road is good condition and symple, so easy driving and not having lose your way. The shortest route is bad condition and bumpy, and complexity.

This is Zin KyaikWaterfall between Mawlamyine and Thaton. This is the entrance from the main road. Now, not rainy season, so the water is nothing.

I am heading to Hpa-an from Thaton. In the middle point, there is Bayin Nyi Cave. This Cave is famous pagoda, so I recommend you to go to. A little bit far from Hpa-an to Bayin Nyi Cave, taking a time for 40 mins, so it is hard to go to the Bayin Nyi Cave. Bayin Nyi Cave has a hot springs and may monkeys live in the pagoda. There are many souvenir shops in this pagoda. I always buy honey at a souvenir shop. The quality is good. It is not mixed sugar, and 100 % pure honey, One litter is 5,000kyat (USD 4). It impossible to buy the honey in developed countries.　And the snack is made from Coconuts. The price is 500kyat 1 package, and 1 pic is just 100kyat. Please try to eat and taste it. I can recommend you to buy for Myanmar souvenir. It is hard to buy Myanmar snacks, but this is good taste for foreigners.After leaving, Bayin Nyi Cave, it will arrive Hpa-an City around 30 mins. Please, go to Kaw Gon Cave,Kaw Gon Cave、Yathae Pyan Cave、BatCave. It is easy going to these pagodas more than from Hpa-an City.
