　Mawlamyine is the capital of Mon State. It is located about 300 km south of Yangon. The population is about 490,000, which is the fourth largest Myanmar Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyidaw. Many people live in this area. Kyaiktiyo Pagoda famous for Myanmar, Golden Rock is actually in Mon State.
